Remodeling and Equipping The HCCB
The Health Care Center of Bongolo serves a large population of about 290.333.30 inhabitants. The building faces huge difficulties in launching activities. Therefore, it needs to be remodeled to cope with its demands. We are working with rusty, old and archaic equipments. We do not have adequate material necessary to guarantee specific care to all patients that come in. This situation exposes the care personnel, as well as patients themselves to various diseases. The waiting room must be expanded to sit 60 patients, rather than 20, which would be a tremendous asset for the community. To remedy the deplorable situation, we thought it would be necessary to provide our outpatients HCCB with medical materials that perform at its best. In addition, there is also need of medications for the pharmacy to ameliorate the working conditions and quality of health care in urban settings.
Our means are very limited, and very meager. Thus, we come to you for medical equipment and medico-sanitary materials; pharmaceutical products; and assistance in financial resources which are desperately needed to remodeling the Health Care Center of Bongolo. Thousands of our patients are turned away by the shortage of our medical supplies and equipment. The foundation does not mind if the equipment or medical supplies is old or outdated, as long as it is in good working condition, it will help us in so many ways. The services provided are orthopedic, ophthalmology, pediatric, laboratory, X-ray, general and internal medicine.
