HELPING THE COMMUNITY TO HELP THEMSELVES

Thanks From GABKUL FOUNDATION

thankGabkul Foundation is most grateful to Dr. James L. Lyons from the Adelphi Bible Baptist Church for his efforts in raising generous funds for the charity , and wishes to thank the church and its congregation for their continuous and generous collection to support our work. We are very appreciative of the funds raised through a collection taken at one of sunday services. This donation gave a tremendous boost to one of our projects in its efforts to promote social and economic development for vulnerable people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

museGabkul foundation would like to express its thanks to bishop C. Anthony Muse (senator), the first lady Pat Lawson Muse (NBC4 anchor), and the entire congregation "the Ark of Safety Christian Church" for the donation of school supplies which will be put to good cause in our current project to help build schools for the less fortunate children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
We are glad that you have chosen to help our organization with this project, and we are very thankful.  With your help, we are sure to be able to accomplish more great things this coming year. Again, we sincerely thank you for the donation which you have made to our cause!

Gabkul Foundation is most grateful to Catherine Agibbons, the World Bank representative (Washington DC), who made a trip to the Congo DRC to inspect all the works and projects realized by Gabkul Foundation as Local Implementing  Agency, in collaboration with the Social funds department of the Congo DRC. As a Local Implementing Agency (LIA), Gabkul is bringing technical and financial assistance, and medical support to social and local structures in the DRC as hospitals, professional Reformation Centers, schools, churches, and NGOs...

On June 25th 2011, Makayla Morin, like many other girls her age, celebrated sixteenth birthday by throwing a party. This was no ordinary sweet sixteen party and Makayla is no ordinary girl. She got to celebrate her birthday in a very special way, since during her party, held in Mooresville, North Carolina, Makayla was named Youth Ambassador of the Congo-DRC-Gabkul Foundation. At such a young age, Makayla is the founder of a non-profit organization called Destination Change, focused on helping raise awareness of the needs of children all over the world. After learning about the situation in the DRC, Makayla set about doing something to help the vulnerable children there. Seeing her upcoming birthday as an opportunity, Makayla asked all her sweet sixteen party guests to provide her with donations instead of gifts. The result of this selfless request was enough household items, shoes and clothing to fill 30 suitcases, which Makayla subsequently donated to the Gabkul Foundation. Due to this extraordinary achievement, the Gabkul Foundation wanted to thank Makayla by honoring her, and what a better day to do this then on her sweet sixteen?
Makayla's story shows that all of us, no matter our age, can do something to impact the world and help those who are in need. Because of her selflessness and creativity, Makayla is going to cause a positive change in the lives of many children in the DRC. We at the Gabkul Foundation would once again like to thank her for her efforts, and to share this inspirational story with you, our supporters.
